Literature Discussion Group Initiative

The library environment and books as we know it are rapidly changing.
We would like to get together with you on a monthly basis and engage in friendly discussion about the changing face of literature. In fact, we want to discuss all things literary with you. We want to hear your views and literary loves.

The Chapter Break-down:

Entry is by Gold Coin Donation
Tea, Coffee and Biscuits will be provided.
 It will be a small group of five to ten people.
        Discussion will last an hour.
There is no homework unless you request homework!

Literal Bliss:  Graeme & Elsie Johnstone Reflect  on their Recent Appearance at  Mentone Public Library  - 11am, Saturday, 26 August 2017 Elsie (seated) and  Graeme Johnstone unrolled their red carpet of literary accomplishments at the end of August 2017 at Mentone Public Library Though husband and wife writing duo  Graeme and Elsie Johnstone  penned a haunting, psychological, bleak portrait of a marriage turned sour and lethal in Lover, Husband, Father, Monster , their real-life marriage, could not be any more opposite: supportive, expressive, loving and successful. They are friends, literary partners, supporters and champions of one another and supporters and champions of all local writers. On the Air and Laughing:  Meekings a Joy to Behold: Reflective Entry  - 11am, Saturday, 27th May 2017 A bundle of joy personified by the beaming presence of Joy Meekings enriched our library for the launch of our seventh series of " An Author for All Seasons " on Saturday, 27th May 2017. With a smile, a warmth and a humility concealing a life less than ordinary, Joy let it all burst open and run free with poetic antics, radio comedy and a vibrant recount of how she came to be a writer.  But enough from us, let's hear from Joy.....
