Okay, so I know we’re at the beginning of March but better late than never right?

At the Mentone Public Library we’ve been busy beavers.   This is the first chance we’ve had to let you all know of the exciting things happening for us in 2015.  Please scroll down for more info.

  

George Ivanoff


We were lucky enough to have George Ivanoff – author of the famed “You Choose” series come and speak to us at the end of last year.  George will be sharing his thoughts on that event in an up-coming blog post.  Can’t wait!


Page Turners

Feeling Labour pains post Labour Day?

Turn a new leaf by coming along to Page Turners - our monthly discussion group covering all things literary. This is more than a book club. It is an appreciation group for the written word and a chance to really delve into the fascinating topic of writing, authors and publishers.

Page Turners runs on the second Wednesday of each month from 2-3pm.
Our upcoming session will be 2pm, Wednesday, 11th March 2015.

We hope to see you there but please note that places are restricted to ten participants,so don't delay!

An Author for All Seasons


Speaking of authors, the very popular “An Author for All Seasons” kicks off again this Autumn and this year’s line- up is looking to be one of our best since the series began.  Our girl Julia will post shortly with all the details on who’s coming and when.

90th Anniversary


This year marks the Mentone Public Library’s 90th Anniversary.  To celebrate this momentous occasion we’re having a party – and you’re all invited!  The celebration will be held around the end of May.  For more information on this event, watch this space.

On the Air and Laughing:  Meekings a Joy to Behold: Reflective Entry  - 11am, Saturday, 27th May 2017 A bundle of joy personified by the beaming presence of Joy Meekings enriched our library for the launch of our seventh series of " An Author for All Seasons " on Saturday, 27th May 2017.
