Book Review:
by Leanda Michelle
Sea Dream Press 2016
Leanda's poignant memoir begins after she sells her house in the
country following the unexpected death of her husband. She moves to
Melbourne to establish her client base as a Reiki Master and to publish
her first book 'Write to Heal'. Worried that her father and sons lack
faith in her ability to succeed in her chosen path she seeks spiritual
guidance travelling to Peru and Canada. Through friends she meets
shamans and clairvoyants who instantly recognise imbalances in her life
and help her negotiate solutions. She finds unexpected romance and
finally in Melbourne the house of her dreams. Leanda's journey of both
body and mind makes engaging reading.
SIDE NOTE:
We were very fortunate to have Leanda Michelle appear at Mentone Public library on Saturday, 28 October 2017 as part of our back-to-back Kingston Seniors Festival literary showcase alongside the Bayside Poetry Group.
Stay tuned for a future blog entry about this wonderful presentation as we reflect on the last three memorable events that capped off 2017 for
Mentone Public Library.
